EASY 3 INGREDIENT CROCKPOT BEEF ROAST | THE BEST SLOW COOKER ROAST BEEF WITH RICH GRAVY
INGREDIENTS:
2-3 pounds 1 to 1 1/2″ cubed beef chuck roast
1 package of onion soup mix
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
water if needed
salt and black pepper
oil
In a skillet on medium high heat add enough oil to coat the bottom and add
half of beef cubes. Cook beef in batches as not to over crowd the pan.
Season beef with salt and black pepper.
Cook 2 sides for 2 minutes or until a nice crust forms.
Remove from pan and set to side and do next batch.
Add all beef to crockpot along with juices.
Sprinkle packet of onion soup mix over the beef.
Pour over cream of mushroom soup and level out. You can attempt to mix.
Cover and cook on high for 2 1/2 to 4 hours or on low setting for 6-8 hours
OR until beef is fork tender.
If you can, stir the mixture half way and add any liquid if needed.
Check the beef tenderness after 2 1/2 hours. Try not to over cook the beef
or it will be stringy and dry.
Serve with rice, potatoes, noodles or spaghetti squash.
